In fact, it’s thanks to TikTok that the American author has rocketed to fame. Publishers are capitalising on the trend: Waterstones Piccadilly recently held a BookTok Festival featuring a livestream from a Gen-Z favourite writer, Taylor Jenkins Reid. The “ BookTok” phenomenon shows no signs of abating, with TikTok estimating that almost 65 billion videos with that hashtag have been viewed to date. ![]()
